The UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has launched a groundbreaking initiative: UAE degree recognition is now automatic for degrees issued by 34 UAE-based universities. Consequently, this simplifies and accelerates qualification recognition for thousands of graduates across the nation.
Announced as the first phase of a nationwide system, this initiative aims to streamline processes within the higher education sector. Previously, graduates faced lengthy verification procedures; however, the new mechanism eliminates these delays, enhancing efficiency significantly.
Streamlining UAE Degree Recognition for Graduates
Under this new system, students completing their studies at participating institutions receive immediate official recognition for their degrees. Furthermore, they no longer need to submit additional documents or undergo complex verification steps. This direct approach substantially reduces bureaucratic hurdles for new graduates.
Officials confirm this initiative strongly supports the UAE government’s broader goal. Specifically, it focuses on reducing bureaucracy, enhancing digital services, and improving overall efficiency within the higher education landscape. More than 25,000 graduates have already benefited, showcasing the program’s immediate positive impact.
Seamless Digital Verification System
The automatic recognition process leverages a secure digital verification system. This innovative system relies on QR codes, enabling government entities and potential employers to confirm qualifications instantly. Consequently, this eliminates the previous requirement for physical document submissions and manual approvals.
Ahmad Yousuf Al Nasser, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Operations, emphasized the ministry’s dedication. He stated that the initiative “reflects the ministry’s commitment to flexible, digitally driven services that align with labor market needs.” This forward-thinking approach creates a faster, entirely paperless procedure.
