Introducing the New Murree Tourist Facility
The Punjab government recently launched a significant new Murree tourist facility, aiming to boost both safety and convenience for visitors. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced this initiative on her X account, highlighting its immediate benefits for the popular hill station.
Specifically, this innovative facility provides readily available phone charging stations, alongside crucial emergency and panic buttons. Consequently, tourists can now access immediate assistance whenever required, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable experience in Murree.
Expanding Emergency Services Across Punjab
This initiative in Murree is part of a broader strategy to enhance public safety across the province. Earlier this month, for instance, the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) introduced a comparable emergency mobile phone charging service in Lahore, following directives from the Chief Minister.

Lahore’s Integrated Safety Zones
The Lahore service integrates multiple vital features at a single location. These include a panic button, complimentary CM Free Wi-Fi, and free emergency phone charging. Therefore, this comprehensive approach assists citizens effectively during urgent situations. A PSCA spokesperson confirmed plans to expand this service across 100 locations in Lahore, thereby strengthening the city’s safety zones significantly.
CM Maryam Nawaz’s Vision for Public Welfare
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz consistently emphasizes that these proactive measures are integral to ongoing efforts. Her administration strives to improve overall public safety and provide essential support to both residents and visitors alike. Ultimately, these initiatives aim to create more secure and supportive environments throughout Punjab’s bustling urban centers and beloved tourist destinations.
