PCB Announces Officials for Pakistan vs Australia T20I Series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced the match officials for the upcoming three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Australia. This exciting contest will take place at Lahore’s iconic Gaddafi Stadium from January 29 to February 1. Consequently, all matches will start at 4:00 PM local time, with the coin toss scheduled for 3:30 PM. This meticulous planning ensures a smooth execution for this highly anticipated cricketing event.

Experienced Leadership for the Series

Ali Naqvi, a distinguished member of the ICC International Panel of Match Referees, will lead the playing control team throughout the series. Significantly, the second T20I marks a remarkable milestone for Naqvi, as it will be his 50th T20I as a match referee. He first officiated in this format at the same historic venue in April 2023, showcasing his extensive experience and dedication to the sport.

Elite Umpires to Oversee the Action

Ahsan Raza, an esteemed member of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires, will serve as a prominent on-field umpire during the first two T20Is. He will be joined by Asif Yaqoob for the opening match, ensuring a strong start to the series. Subsequently, Rashid Riaz will partner with Raza in the second T20I, promising consistent and fair officiating.
