16 Sahulat Bazaars Rawalpindi for Affordable Ramadan Shopping
Authorities in Rawalpindi Division have unveiled plans to establish 16 Sahulat Bazaars Rawalpindi and across surrounding districts, including Murree, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum, specifically for the holy month of Ramadan. This significant initiative aims to provide substantial relief to citizens, ensuring access to essential commodities at highly competitive prices. Consequently, families can anticipate a more affordable and convenient shopping experience during this important period.
Key Meeting Highlights and Objectives of Sahulat Bazaars
The announcement followed a crucial meeting chaired by Mohammad Afzal Khokhar, the Chairman of Sahulat Bazaar, alongside MNA Tahira Aurangzeb. Several key officials attended, either in person or via video link, including Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema. The discussions focused on both ongoing and upcoming Sahulat Bazaar projects. Chairman Khokhar emphasized that these bazaars are designed to offer the public relief by providing essential goods at prices notably lower than those found in the open market.

Innovative Shopping Initiatives for Public Convenience
Furthermore, Chairman Khokhar detailed two innovative programs aimed at enhancing the shopping experience. The “Sahulat Drive-Through” initiative will allow citizens to purchase goods without leaving their vehicles, streamlining the process. In contrast, the “Sahulat On The Go” program will formalize pushcart businesses, providing quality goods within a single, organized location. These initiatives underscore a commitment to modern, accessible retail solutions.
Ensuring Comfort and Accessibility for Shoppers
Officials confirmed that the Sahulat Bazaars Rawalpindi will integrate various amenities to ensure a comfortable visit for all. These facilities include dedicated children’s play areas, inviting food courts, and clean washrooms. Therefore, the district administration is committed to expediting all related projects. They also pledged to provide maximum facilities under the Punjab government’s public-friendly initiatives, ensuring a pleasant shopping environment for everyone.

Progress and Future Development Plans
MNA Tahira Aurangzeb actively urged district administrations to swiftly arrange land for locations where it is not yet secured. She highlighted that arrangements for 16 specific locations are currently in progress. Consequently, the rapid acquisition of land is a critical step towards the timely establishment of these vital bazaars. The Punjab government’s initiatives are clearly focused on public welfare and convenient access to necessities.
