Punjab has initiated a transformative step, activating Pink and Blue Mobile Licensing Units in 27 districts. These innovative units offer citizens the unprecedented convenience of obtaining driving licenses directly at their doorstep. Consequently, this remarkable program aims to streamline public services while significantly empowering women across the province. These units are set to redefine accessibility for thousands.
Revolutionizing Driving License Acquisition with Punjab’s Mobile Licensing Units
The introduction of these mobile units marks a significant milestone in public service delivery. Historically, citizens faced challenges accessing licensing centers. Now, however, the process is brought directly to them. This citizen-centric approach underscores the provincial government’s commitment to modernizing administrative procedures.

Impressive Reach and Impact in Punjab
In just the past two months, the on-door mobile licensing service has remarkably benefited over 14,000 citizens. This rapid adoption demonstrates the critical need for such accessible services.
Specifically, a breakdown of these beneficiaries reveals:
- Approximately 5,100 individuals successfully received learner licenses.
- Around 7,000 citizens obtained fresh regular driving licenses.
- Furthermore, 2,500 existing permits were efficiently renewed through these units.
Clearly, these figures highlight the program’s immediate positive impact on thousands of lives across the province.
Empowering Women with Dedicated Pink Units
A cornerstone of this initiative is the empowerment of women. Special Pink Mobile Units are actively operational, exclusively designed to cater to female applicants. These units are deployed in major cities, including:
- Lahore
- Rawalpindi
- Gujranwala
- Faisalabad
- Sialkot
- Multan
Significant Achievements for Female Applicants
To date, approximately 2,400 women have successfully availed themselves of licensing services via these dedicated units. This includes around 700 learner’s licenses and 600 regular driving licenses.
Consequently, these tailored services not only offer convenience but also foster greater independence and mobility for women across Punjab.
A Vision for Efficient Public Services
These initiatives directly align with the Punjab Chief Minister’s overarching vision. He aims to provide public services with enhanced efficiency and transparency, simultaneously focusing on community well-being. Therefore, the introduction of these mobile units stands as a testament to this progressive approach.

Promoting Public Convenience and Empowerment
Overall, these mobile units represent a practical and forward-thinking step. They enhance public convenience by bringing essential services closer to citizens. Moreover, by specifically addressing the needs of women, they actively contribute to their empowerment. This holistic strategy ensures that administrative processes are not only accessible but also equitable for all residents of Punjab.
